NYFW Trend Report: Put A Bow On It

Fashion Month is in full swing and New York Fashion Week kicked it off with some pretty iconic collections. A major trend seen across the runways this past week was the pussycat bow. Something you might expect at the Spring/Summer shows, this neck adornment was prevalent for Fall/Winter 2016.

At Tory Burch, a metallic bowed necktie added a touch of rock-and-roll to a preppy pink suit.

Carolina Herrera's power-girl on the go also used a wispy bow to accessorize her glam look.

Marc Jacob's collection was an over-the-top goth fantasy, and almost every look featured a billowing bow at the neckline.

A white bow added a touch of whimsy to a peacoat and feathered pants at Michael Kors.

Ralph Lauren used a carefully constructed bow to feminize his menswear-inspired black suit.

The bow on Tommy Hilfiger's floral dress added to the overall flirty and fun look.

At Jason Wu, the bowed necktie was worn high, and the movement of it makes for a dramatic entrance.

Rachel Zoe added a grosgrain swath to her metallic cocktail dress, proving that the bow can be sexy, too.

Jenny Packham's collection was full of red-carpet stunners, and her flowing marigold gown was held together with a perfectly draped bow at the halter neck.

From glam to edgy, the pussycat bow is a chameleon that can do double- or even triple-duty in your closet. So whatever the occasion, ask yourself: why not tie one on?
